Lake Hogan Farms: Coffee & Bagels
October 8, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Lake Hogan Farms is hosting Town Council Candidates STEPHANIE WADE & APRIL MILLS Sunday, October 8th, 10-11:30am at the Lake Hogan Farms Clubhouse: 101 Commons Way Dr, Chapel Hill 27516. Children welcome!
Enjoy coffee and bagels while connecting with the candidates on what affects you and how they can help guide Carrboro on issues of flooding/stormwater management, traffic, thoughtful growth, green infrastructure, local government transparency, and more.
April Mills lives in Claremont and Stephanie Wade lives in Cobblestone. As you may know, with current council people Susan Romaine and Sammy Slade leaving—there will be no representation for parents of CHCCS students or anyone who lives in North Carrboro—unless we elect Stephanie and April.
Many Carrboro residents experience flooding and its become clear how dangerously little our town understands stormwater management. This puts us at risk at a time when we should be planning for climate resiliency. If elected, April Mills will rapidly increase this capability for all of Carrboro’s sake. Stephanie, a native North Carolinian, has led successful traffic-calming initiatives in her neighborhood. Both want to ensure that while Carrboro grows, it has the infrastructure in place to support our diverse population and ecology. And they are both committed to inclusivity and accountability in our local government.
Hosted by Kat Palinski, Ned Brown, Courtney & Kathleen Thomas. RSVP appreciated but not required: email@example.com
